Son of Stephen Pardee and Betsy Hull. He graduated Albany Medical School in the Spring of 1855, with a thesis on Puerperal Fever. He married Sarah E. Clark on 18 June 1861. Sarah died in 1862. Moses married Dr. Emily Virginia Dowd on 30 May 1865 in Madison, Connecticut.
