WEST CHATHAM - Charles B. Campbell, 84, formerly of ... Worcester, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, in his West Chatham home.
His wife, Ethlyn E. (Connell) Campbell, died in 1995. He leaves two sons, one daughter.
His first wife, Beatrice (Hall) Campbell, died in 1984. His sister, Nancy C. Bloom of Spencer, died in 1998.
He was born in Worcester, son of Alexander B. and Lucy (Bryden) Campbell. He attended Bancroft School and graduated from Tabor Academy, Williams College and Boston University Law School.
Mr. Campbell was an attorney for 50 years. He was in practice with his father and the late Judge Paul V. Rutledge for 29 years before retiring in 1991.
He was a 50-year-member of the United Congregational Church and Quinsigamond Lodge of Masons. He was a former member of the Worcester Club and Tatnuck County Club and was chairman of the Mt. Wachusett Association and was a past president and treasurer of the Worcester Historical Museum. Mr. Campbell was a member of the national board of the United States Power Squadron. He also was a former director and clerk of Carlstrom Pressed Metal Co., Coes Knife Co., Simplex Time Recorder Co. and Heywood-Wakefield Co. He was a deputy governor of the Massachusetts Society of Colonial Wars.
