Eugene Peterson, age 55, formerly of Fremont Avenue, Madison, died in a Madison hospital on Feb. 5, 1983 after a brief illness. Born on June 18, 1927 in LaValle, WI to Glenn and Emma (Belaire) Peterson, Mr. Peterson was a Madison resident since 1939.
Mr Peterson was a firefighter with the Madison Fire Department from 1951-1962. He was later employed by the VA Dietary Department and was a Naval veteran of WWII.
Eugene was previously married to Jacqueline M. Franey.
He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Michael (Ann) Roberts of Portland, OR, Amy C. Peterson and Antoinette "Toni" Peterson, both of Madison. He is also survived by two sons: Thomas G. Peterson of Overland Park, KS and Timothy J. Peterson of Madison.
One sister, Mrs. Lloyd( (Shirley) Resler of Virginia Beach, VA also survives him.
Eugene was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Peterson and his parents.
