Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Jean Sweat Cloud were held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Elizabeth Baptist Church, Reverend Danny Perry officiated. Interment followed at Hampton Memorial Cemetery, Elizabeth.
Mittie Jean Sweat Cloud, 82, of Elizabeth passed from this life Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Cloud was a retired paraprofessional at Elizabeth High School and a lifelong homemaker. She was an active member of Elizabeth Baptist Church for over sixty years.
Ms. Mittie was preceded in death by: her parents; Ephriam and Rosa Sweat, her daughter; Patricia Cloud Nunnally, three brothers; Robert Pete Sweat, Shelton Sweat, Clyde Sweat and two sisters; Ethel Sweat Smith and Alma Sweat Perkins.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her beloved husband of sixty five years of Elizabeth; two sons and daughters-in-law of Elizabeth; one daughter and son-in-law of Elizabeth; one sister of Pitkin; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
