Samuel R. Hardison, Sr., age 81 of Valparaiso, passed away November 24, 2014. He was a paratrooper for the U.S. Army and a retired conductor-switchman at ConRail Railroad. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Sam was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years- Marcella; daughters- Brenda and Hope.
He is survived by his sons- Samuel, Jr., Tim, and Matthew (Marcia) Hardison; daughters- Joyce (late Melvin, Sr.) DeRolf, and Patsy (Bill) Cornwell; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother- Tommy (Jackie) Hardison; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
