Darryl was my husband Ed's only child. He died at the tender age of 24. He was on his way home to check on his wife, who was expecting their 2nd child, he reached down in the floor board to pick something up and ran off the pavement, and the impact of the wreck killed him instantly. The day after the wreck his 2nd child was born. I never got a chance to meet him but I know that he is missed by his father very much, each and everyday and that he loves him very much.

This has been added by Darryl's father Ed Stanley and his wife Sheryl Stanley.

From what his dad has told me Darryl was a loving son and father. This is what is dad wants everyone to know about his son.Darryl loved to play sports he started out playing tee ball and wearing #17 jersey. He also played football, baseball, soccer. Every sport that he played he wore the #17 jersey. He also liked to golf. His dad still has his golf clubs and wouldn't take anything for them. Darryl and his dad like to go fishing. Ed has told me about some of their fishing trips. He really misses his son and the fun that they had. He now has 2 grown sons and a grandson that we know he would be proud of. We love and miss you, son.
