Mrs. Adelia A. Mann Passed Away This Morning at 5:30

After a useful and well-spent life of four score years and four, the spirit of MRs. Adelia A. Mann passed away this morning at 5:30 o’clock, and she laid down her burden of life to awake to a brighter day.

Mrs. Mann was one of the pioneer residents of this county. in the early days, in company with her husband, the late Wm. D. Mann, she came to California and purchased a ranch, near the Waugh school house, where they resided for years. about thirteen years ago Mr. Mann died, and Mrs. Mann lived there alone until she became too feeble to look after the affairs of the ranch. She came to this city, where for the past three years she has been cared for by her niece, Mrs. A. E. Barney, at the home of Dr. Ruth French on Sixth street. Her niece gave her the best of care and attended her every want. Deceased was a native of New York. Death was due to old age. She left no other relative but Mrs. A. E. Barney.

The funeral will take place Wednesday at 3 o’clock from the residence of Dr. French, 912 Sixth street, and Rev. W. H. Darden will officiate.

The respected pioneer lady will be tenderly laid to rest beside her husband at Cypress Hill. She was earned her rest. May she sleep undisturbed.
