Ed went to be with his Lord Jesus in Heaven on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Age 93 years. He was a lifelong resident of the Kluck homestead on Van Wormer in Thomas Twp. and a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Ed was born on August 21, 1921, to the late Walter and Frieda (Zorn) Kluck. On June 15, 1946, he married his beloved wife, Ruth (Nuechterlein), who predeceased him on December 13, 1989. Ed first partnered with his father, Walter, in dairy farming and then with his brother, Gerald, as co-owners of Kluck Nursery, Inc. for many years.
He was a loving father to Marilyn (Rev. Harry) Edenfield, Elaine (Jon) Harrison, Robert (Ann) Kluck, and Cherie (Paul) Jones; grandfather to Jeaneen (Jamie) Wyly, Jim (Jessica) Edenfield, Kelly (Dylan) Echols, Randy (Londisa) Jones, and Dan Harrison; great-grandfather to Makayla and Jenna Wyly, Dylan Edenfield, Colby and Judah Echols. He leaves behind one brother, Harold Kluck, three sisters-in-law, Sally Kluck, Margaret Walter and Irene Matzke, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and employees. He was predeceased by his sister Eleanore and brother Gerald.
The celebration of Ed’s life will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 Court St. The Rev. James F. Krueger will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
