Augusta – Betty J. Lane, 83, of St. John Towers and wife of the late Claude Lane, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the University Hospital of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Betty was born in Phoenix City, Alabama to the late Raymond and Susie Cheney. She was preceded in death by a son John Allan Williams.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and raised her family doing whatever it took, including working three jobs to provide for them.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Lane, Pam Elliott (Cecil), Brenda Huffman (Stanley) and Kathie Johnson (Harry); 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and her Aunt Lillian Hemby.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
