He had been in poor health for some time.
Mr. Shea was owner of the insurance firm, Shea & Berman, in Port Henry and had been active in the field of insurance since the early 1920's.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Batterton Shea, five children, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry at 9 a.m. Saturday with a Requiem High Mass celebrated by Msgr. Benjamin Staie.
Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
