She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, a homemaker and a member of New Branch Methodist Church near Lyons. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3563 in Lyons and Vidalia.
SURVIVORS: two daughters, Linda McCranie of Lyons and Sue Andrews of Salt Lake City; a son, Russell Neesmith of Richmond Hill; two sisters, Minnie Morris of Vidalia and Vera Clifton of Vidalia; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
