Misc: WIDOW∼Sarah J. Martin married first Willard Emery on July 4th, 1860. They lived in Damascus Twp., Henry County, Ohio, but eventually they divorced. She married second, Willard's 1st cousin James C. Emery on Nov. 15th, 1875 in Hillsdale, Michigan where she was residing. Hillsdale is 40 miles northwest of Damascus. They then lived in Napoleon, Henry County, Ohio which was where James was living.
James died on July 4th, 1891 leaving Sarah widowed. She died 23 years later and the informant on her death certificate is her and Willard's son, Eltheon "E.L." Emery. The certificate shows her buried in Saginaw, Michigan which is 130 miles due north. Only God knows why...

was sent to Saginaw Mich., for inter-
