Rory Alexander, 9, of Boulder died of an accidental gunshot wound July 16, 1996. He was born June 4, 1987.
He was a vibrant, joyful child who loved to play baseball and ride his bicycle with friends. His greatest joy was fishing and camping with his family.
Survivors are his parents, Chris and Susie Alexander, Brother Eric and Sisters Amanda and Meghann, all of Boulder; his paternal grandparents, Lee and Kathleen Alexander, Uncle Kirk (Tammy) and cousins Cory and Patrick (Julie) Alexander, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carpenter, all of Nebraska, aunt Debra Smith, and uncles Rich E. and Bobby Carpenter, Also of Nebraska; his maternal grandmother, Arlene Carpenter of Helena; great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Peace and Mrs. Elmo Sandoval; paternal great grandmother, Stella Biggins of Nebraska; his adopted families, the McLaughlins, Hallilas and Hartfords, all of Jefferson County.
Services were held Saturday, July 20, at 2:30 pm at Scott Funeral Home in Boulder. A Graveside service, balloon release and reception followed. Chaplain Gale Everson officiated.
