Marion Shepherd Ainsworth, 74 of Cooper, Texas, passed away Friday, November 28, at Paris Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Archie and Hildred Ainsworth and graduated from West Delta High School then attended East Texas State University.

Marion is survived by his wife, Pat and three daughters, Treva LaJaunie and husband, Randy, Tricia Chalaire and husband, Tommy, and Laci Northam and husband, Lance; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Whitney, and Hayden LaJaunie, Grant, Luke, Case and Hayes Chalaire; and Emma and Lola Northam; and two sisters, Kay Moore and Kathy Shaffer.

Marion loved his family and enjoyed having them at gatherings at his cabin. He loved gardening and being outside when he wasn't watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks. He was looking forward to the next season.

Funeral services were held at 2 PM Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Cooper. Rev. Doug Wintermute and Jim Ainsworth officiated. Interment followed in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation was from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.
