Carol Louise Miller Yocom, 70, devoted and cherished mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014. With a smile that could light up a room, Carol touched many lives and was second mother to many. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth. Carol was born Oct. 7, 1944, to Robert "Ted" Prentice and Esther Theople Miller and raised in Fort Worth. She graduated from Eastern Hills High School and attended Texas Wesleyan University. She moved to Granbury in 1978 where she raised her three children and was an accomplished secretary and small-business owner. Carol's talents were many, from league bowler and piano player to artist and decorator. She was preceded in death by her brother, James McDonald Miller, and her parents. Survivors: Children, Cynthia Gilchrest of Granbury, Colin Yocom of Haslet and Camey Trossbach of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren, Landree Yocom, Parker Yocom, Cooper Yocom and Liam Trossbach; brother, Robert Levirt Miller; her partner, Robert Silvestri; and many nieces and nephews.
