Francis M. Hames of Bryant Place, a Narragansett Electric Co. customer service department employee for 36 years, retiring in 1987, died yesterday at home after a six-month illness. He was the husband of Mary E. (Martinoli) Hames.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Martin J. and Florence M. (Mulvey) Hames, he had lived in West Warwick for 36 years.
Mr. Hames was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 310 and a communicant of St. Mary Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mary Church, Crompton. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.
