Published in The Paducah Sun, Paducah, McCracken Co., Ky., 24 Sep 2003 - Mona Charlotte Carr, 89, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at the Carmel Home. She was born Feb. 26, 1914, in Uniontown, Ky., the daughter of the late Earl F. and Mary Bernadette Ruark. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir; Eucharistic minister; lector; greeter; Daughters of Isabella, Altar Society and Over 50 Club. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, doing crafts, reading and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Orville Gregory Carr, on May 25, 1997; a grandson, William Joseph Thomas in 1966; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Clark in 1991 and Kendra Clark in 1996.

Mrs. Carr is survived by two daughters, Sherma Jo (Joe Bill) Clark and Judy (Ralph) Thomas; two sons, Glennon (Donna) Carr and Greg (Lori Ann) Carr; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eula Dye and Sharon Hagan; one brother, Wayne Ruark; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at Immaculate Catholic Church with entombment following at Resurrection Cemetery.
