She was a graduate of Flint Central High School “Class of 1940” and married Mr. Charles Yancey September 21, 1946 in Flint. Mrs Yancey was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Debra Yancey; 5 sons, Ronald (Lola) Watkins, Douglas (Bernadine), Stephen (Eva Spencer), Reginald (Ida), and Jeffery (Gwen) Yancey; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Wilma Rosemond, all of Flint,, Beverly (Robert) Lee, and Flora Hayes, both of Los Angles, CA; 3 aunts, Ruth Wright, Vivian Hill, and Bernadine Kingcade; uncle, Lyle Moody, all of Peoria, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Yancey was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Yancey (1993); and her parents.
