She created a picture-perfect life for her family; warm beautifully decorated homes, lovely family gatherings, stunning dinner parties for friends, (lobster thermador was her specialty) and she was always fashionably dressed to the nines! Around the time that she turned 50, she picked up a paint brush and started painting primarily in oil. It was unbelievable how she effortlessly created her own gallery of beautiful paintings over the years. Before that, no one in her family had a clue as to what a talented artist she was. She never cared to sell any of her work, even though many people inquired. She would just enter contests and win blue ribbon after blue ribbon. That was enough! She continued to paint until she was about 80 years old.
Nadia was an avid golfer and member of the beautiful Silverado Country Club in Napa, Calif. After being widowed for a second time she moved to Westlake Village in 2002 to be near her family. She loved her new house and she loved having all of her children and grandchildren visit frequently. She also adored her little white poodle, Desiree, who never left her side right up to her last breath.
Nadia loved life a lot! She had an incredible sense of humor, loved the Lakers, was a huge USC football fan, and in later years found great joy in the Discovery Channel and Entertainment Tonight. She was very sensible, extremely logical and stubborn from time to time, but very caring. She also had perfect pitch! In a word she was "ELEGANT."
She will forever be in all of our hearts. Bless you "Mama," "Ya Ya," "Mummy," "Grammers," from your loving family, Cory and Maria Lerios, Andrea Bredesen, Paige Lerios, grandchildren: Charley Alexander, and Andrew, Michael and Demitri Lerios, and your brother, Chan Coury.
