Phyllis A. (Morris) Wrightmire, 82, of Liverpool, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2014. Phyllis resided in the Syracuse area most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted friend to many. Phyllis enjoyed being a homemaker, attending church, singing hymns and fellowship with other believers as well as long car rides and dining out with her husband. During her long battle with Alzheimer's she was blessed with a team of loving caregivers, which included her son, Mark. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Robert E. Wrightmire in 2009 and her son, Robert M. Wrightmire in 1999. Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Mark Wrightmire of Liverpool and Jeffrey (Elaine) Wrightmire of Mattydale; two grandchildren and two nieces. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Sears-Middleton-Jones Funeral Home, North Syracuse. A funeral service in celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the funeral home, followed by burial in North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimerโs Association, CNY Chapter or Hospice of CNY.
