To the beloved memory of Alexander D Temple, manager, Bathurst Trading Co., Bathurst, West Africa, a member of the legislative council and a JP of the Gambia, drowned on the 16th June 1903 by collision on the River Gambia, aged 25 years, buried at Bathurst; and of Ethel F Temple, died on the 13th August 1872 aged 3 years, buried here, son and daughter of the Rev. W Temple, MA, DD, FSAS, for 24 years pastor of St Margaret's, Forgue; their son Maurice George Temple, MA, AMIEE, chief electrician of the West India and Panama Telegraph Coy Ltd, died at Kingston, Jamaica, 13th September 1921 and is buried there; and their daughter Emmeline Lucy Crichton Cheyne, died 6th December 1915; Rev William Temple, MA, DD, FSA Scot, died at Aberdeen 3rd August 1906, buried here; his widow Jemima Mary Crichton, died at Edinburgh 20th Feb. 1919 and is buried in Warriston Cemetery there.
