Elwood Baker Elwood Baker, 81 of Morgantown ,WV went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2012. He was born on August 14, 1930 in Lake Lynn ,Pa. the son of the late Shirley Jasper Baker and Etta Moats Baker. Elwood was a patriot at heart and a veteran who had served in the army reserve and was a corporal in the US Marine Corps and a member of the Rock Forge Presbyterian Church. Elwood owned and operated L & R Mobile Home Heating and Cooling and was a retired employee of WVU having retired in 1992. Since retiring, his favorite past time was socializing with people while either bicycling or walking the rail trail with his wife and dogs. Elwood is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby Thacker Baker, a son Douglas Baker , three daughters , Patsy Dalton, Susan Davis, Vickie Duckworth, a sister Mary Kathryn Neff, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. In honoring his wishes, cremation services was conducted by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home . The family will hold a memorial service with military honors at a later date. Memorial contribution may be made to Morgantown Hospice, PO Box 4222 Morgantown ,WV 26504.
