Mary A. Edwards, 76, of South Buffalo Township, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, peacefully, at Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, in Cabot.
Mary was born in Natrona Heights, Aug. 8, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Martha (Reedy) and A. Rex Bennett.
Mary was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Bible Church in South Buffalo Township. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed bird watching, activities at her church and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Benjamin K. Edwards; their two children, son, Kenneth Edwards, of Slate Lick, and daughter, Margaret "Maggie" (Roger) Bish, of Ford City; three grandchildren, Benjamin (Taylor) Edwards, Leland Edwards and his companion, Lauren, and Daniel Edwards; three brothers, A. Lee (Jane) Bennett, Alan (Colleen) Bennett, Bruce (Kay) Bennett; and her sister, Janella (Bob) Stivenson.
Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., Freeport. Visitation will continue from 1 until the hour of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec 6. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mark R. Thomas officiating.
