Retired railroader Jack Arms, 75, died Saturday, August 2, 1969, in a local hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, August 5, 1969, at his home in Hager Hill by Cline Salyers. Burial was in the family cemetery at Hager Hill. The Jones-Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Born in Johnson Co., on July 09, 1894, he was the son of the late Sam and Polly Ann Ratliff. Survivors include his wife, the former Dora Hall; five sons, Virgil of Hager Hill, Lundie, Jackie, Toney, and Bert all of Paintsville; two daughters, Mrs. Faye Ratiff of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Eula Ramey of Holden, W.Va; and a brother Hershell Arms of Paintsville.
