The fifth of eight racially mixed children born to Mariah and Henry A. Hunt Sr. Married Florence S. Johnson of Raleigh, NC. In 1904, became the 2nd person to serve as principal of the Fort Valley High and Industrial School which later became Fort Valley State College.
