Funeral services for Bro. Woodson McGuffee, 72, of Rocky Branch will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church with Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Bro. McGuffee went to his heavenly home on July 11, 2019. Bro. McGuffee was a Baptist Minister for 52 years, having served the last 23 years at Rocky Branch Baptist Church. He preached many sermons throughout northeast and central Louisiana and participated in the Southern Baptist Association and Convention. Bro. McGuffee loved the outdoors and was a sportsman throughout his life, with duck hunting and fishing as his favorite past times. He was a Board Member for the Rocky Branch Volunteer Fire Department for the past 11 years. Bro. McGuffee was very family oriented, keeping family first. His greatest contribution was his Christ like kindness, selflessness and leading others to the Kingdom of Heaven. His favorite verse was John 3:16.

Bro. McGuffee was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Hattie McGuffee; father and mother-in-law, Elemer & Peggy Tousinau; grandson, Rayven Wilson; brother, Harry Stanley “Pete” McGuffee; and many other friends preceding him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah T. McGuffee of West Monroe, La.; son, James McGuffee & wife, Lynn of Bartlett, Tn.; daughter, Lori Wilson & husband, C.J. of Perryville, La.; grandchildren, Miranda Faith Wilson, Robert James Wilson, Gage Woodson McGuffee and Jace Allen McGuffee; brothers, David McGuffee & wife Janie of Monroe, La. and Jimmy Clayton McGuffee & wife, Kimberly of Bossier, La.; sisters, Betty Cavanaugh & husband, Bill of Florence, Ms. and Hattie White & husband, Alvin of Elba, Al.; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert James Wilson and members of the Rocky Branch/Crossroads Volunteer Fire Departments.

Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 12:30p.m. – 2:30p.m. at Rocky Branch Baptist Church.
