From Jo Manis (#47627262):

D.O. "Oliver" Thomason was the son of James Franklin and Julia Shaw Thomasson. Oliver never married. Several years ago, in the 1980's, Ronald Weston Thomason and Jo Thomason Manis visited the home of Mr. Will Kelly in DeFuniak. Mr. Will was 100 years old at the time and his memory was remarkable. He stated that he was close friends to the James Franklin Thomasson family and he said that when Oliver died from pneumonia his body was transported from Wausau to DeFuniak Springs by train and that he travelled with Oliver's father and brothers to Defuniak by horse and wagon to the depot and brought his body back to Freeport. He said that Oliver was one of the most honest and kind persons he had ever known. Mr. Will ran his hands across a white tablecloth where we were all sitting and he said...Oliver's heart was white as snow...just like this tablecloth!
