Bolton, Sr., 75, of Hughesville, MD passed away at Genesis Health Care Center, MD. Born the son of Major Frank Alexander Bolton, USAF, Retired and Melissa Ann Dement Bolton. The grandson of former Charles County Commissioner F. B Bolton.

An entrepreneur and self-employed for most of his life, he ran a family farm at Mt. Zephyr, founded Bolton Construction Company and several automotive businesses, including the Bel Alton Sunoco and G & M Towing early in his career. Later, he turned to his love of travel and the open road to work as a Transportation Specialist for the Dillon and Keller bus services and with Envisioneering, Inc.

Dick enjoyed camping, Bluegrass Festivals, traveling and keeping in touch with his 1957 classmates from La Plata High School. His wit and quick smile was certain to brighten up your day. He was a member of All Faith Episcopal Church in Charlotte Hall, Maryland.

Predeceased by his parents and step-mother, the late Gladys Robinette Bolton and step-mother, the late Zelda Taylor Bolton.

Survived by his wife, Grace; two sons; two daughters; two step-children; a step-brother of Stuart, FL and step-sister of Oviedo, FL. His first wife (and mother of his four children), Sharon Gore; nine grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7th from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols with The Reverend Ronald Robison officiating.

Interment will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Charles Street, LaPlata, MD.

A time for friends and family to fellowship following the Interment, will take place at the All Faith Episcopal Church Hall.

Pallbearers will be Richard Lee Bolton, Jr., R. Gore Bolton, James Willett, Dennis Lee Bridgett, Jr., Raymond Gore Bolton, Jr. and Joshua Phoebus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Faith Episcopal Church, Charlotte Hall, MD.
