Mrs. Della Evans was born April 3, 1878, and departed this life Saturday morning, September 24, 1921, at her home northwest of this city following a lingering illness from tuberculosis at the age of 43 years, 5 months and 21 days. She was married to William A. Evans March 9, 1906. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive. She is also survived by a loving husband, a daughter, Mrs. William Landess, by a former marriage, and three brothers, Bert, John and Will Hicks. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. James Paxton. The body was laid to res in the city cemetery. The pall bearers were: Thomas Harfield, James Smith, Will Coffman, George Dixon, Lee Campbell and Frank Lewis.
