Jean Carol Seders

BRIDGEPORT — Mrs. Jean Carol Seders, 74 years of age, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Bridgeport, WV, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Fairmont General Hospital, Fairmont, WV.

She was born October 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Floyd and Ethel McDaniel Digman.

She was married to Ray D. Seders. They had celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Mrs. Seders is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and John Spatafore of Bridgeport, WV; a son, Scott Seders of Salisbury, MD; a daughter-in-law, Madeline Seders of Bridgeport, WV; five grandchildren, Christy Horne and husband Mike, John Spatafore II, Jason Spatafore, David Spatafore and Andrea Spatafore, all of Bridgeport, WV; three brothers, Sherwood “Butch” Digman of Garrettsville, Ohio, Keith Digman of Warren, Ohio, and Milton Digman of Waukegan, Illinois; six sisters, Rosalee Bates of Newton Falls, Ohio, Claudette Brownless of Warren, Ohio, Deanna Hunt, of Akron, Ohio, Joan Linger of Bridgeport, WV, Lavonne “Betty” Morton of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Frankie Swaney of Kent, Ohio. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Seders was preceded in death by a son, Jeff, five brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Seders was a member of the Johnson Avenue United Methodist Church, Bridgeport, WV. She served as the church secretary for several years. She previously worked for McCroy’s Department Store and J.S. Christian Center.

Friends will be received in the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV, on Thursday from noon-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Reverend William P. Smith officiating. The interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV.

The Seders family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV.
