He worked for the Sharon DPW, then at the Kendall Company for 15 years until his retirement several years ago.

Survived by his children, Mary Jean Giannelli and her husband Kenji of Hawaii, Gary Giannelli and his wife Susanna of Spain and Anthony Giannelli and his wife Anne of Brockton, as well as his step-children, Micaela MacDonald of Florida, Paul E. MacDonald and his wife Amy of New Hampshire, Jan C. VanVaerenewyck and her husband Thomas of Templeton, John R. MacDonald and his wife Eileen of New Jersey, Patricia MacDonald of Worcester, Edward V. MacDonald of Brockton, Anne K. Lawson and her husband Howard of Stoughton, Matthew L. MacDonald and his partner Jennifer of Sharon, Ian L. MacDonald of North Attleboro and Thomas B. MacDonald of Texas.

He was the brother of Gloria Parry of California, Regina Leroy of Middleboro, Aldo Giannelli and his wife Margaret of New Bedford, Corina Mason of Florida, Frances Morris of North Carolina, Robert Stevens of Brockton and the late Eugene, Richard, Clemente and Rosie Giannelli, Genevieve Fogg and Margaret Allen.

He is also survived by 2 granddaughters, 26 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Neal J. Giannelli, 87, died peacefully at his home in Stoughton on Friday, December 5, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Charlotte (Booth) Giannelli. Son of the late Giovacchino Giannelli and Maria (Maraglia) Giannelli Stevens, he was born and educated in Stoughton. He was a resident of Sharon for 10 years before moving to Eustis, Florida after his retirement for 25 years. He returned to Stoughton 3 years ago. Mr. Giannelli was a Private First Class in the U.S. Marine Corps and a Veteran of World War II. He worked for the Sharon DPW before becoming a supervisor at the Kendall Company for 15 years until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of Pine Meadows Golf and Country Club in Florida. Along with his wife Charlotte, he enjoyed building and furnishing doll houses, as well as driving and exploring the countryside for flea markets.
Mr. Giannelli is survived by his children, Mary Jean Giannelli and her husband Kenji of Hawaii, Gary Giannelli and his wife Susanna of Spain and Anthony Giannelli and his wife Anne of Brockton, as well as his step-children, Micaela MacDonald of Florida, Paul E. MacDonald and his wife Amy of New Hampshire, Jan C. VanVaerenewyck and her husband Thomas of Templeton, John R. MacDonald and his wife Eileen of New Jersey, Patricia MacDonald of Worcester, Edward V. Funeral Service will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 13 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neal's memory may be made to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Tradecenter G-500, Woburn, MA 01801.
