"E B (Andy) Anderson Dies Early Sunday - Elwin B Anderson, aged 54, better known as 'Andy' Anderson, died at the City hospital at 3:30 am Sunday, following an operation a few hours earlier. Mr Anderson submitted to a serious operation about two years ago, from which he never fully recovered. He had been working at the Buxton restaurant south of the city and became ill Friday evening. He was brought to the hospital early on Saturday. Mr Anderson was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Charles E Anderson and was born in Corry, September 19, 1887. He attended the Corry schools and later went to Oil City, where he resided for a number of years. He was employed in restaurants and hotels and was a member of the Oil City Fire Department. On June 11, 1913, Mr Anderson was married to Miss Zoda Cook of Oil City. Besides the wife, he leaves one son, Robert E Anderson of Oil City. He was the last of his own family. During the past few years he had worked in Titusville and assisted the local Fire Department, making his headquarters at the central fire station. The body was prepared at the Tracy funeral home and will be brought to 310 East Main street, where friends may call after 3 pm today. The body will be taken to Corry at noon on Tuesday, where services will be conducted at 2 pm from the Bracken & Keating funeral home. Interment in Pine Grove cemetery in Corry."
