Florine Elizabeth Weaver Mingus was his first wife. She was born on August 31, 1911 and she was killed in a car accident on a railroad track when a train hit her on September 11, 1958 according to paper article. They had five children together, four boys and one girl. In 2015 their third child Monte Mingus passed away.

Second Wife Wanita Marie Slocum Miller Mingus was born on July 29, 1920 and died on November 27, 2005.

I just found out they are not buried with this headstone but in Evergreen cemetery. The headstone is in Mt. Hope. Confused yet? I am.
