Charles H. "Chuck" Herron, age 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 14, 2010, following an extended illness. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was owner and operator of a tree service company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Paralee Herron; two sisters, Hassie Falin and Clara Herron; and one brother, Ranson Herron. He is survived by two sons, Lester Herron, of Surgoinsville, and Roger Herron and wife, Shelia of Rogersville; one daughter, Wanda Herron of Rogersville; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The Tennessee Army National Guard and the Hawkins County Color Guard will conduct military graveside honors 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Mt. Home Veterans Cemetery.
