James L. Rush Sr., age 72 years, or rural Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at the St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.

He was born on January 31, 1933 to Roy and Bulah (Rockwell) Rush at LaFarge, Wisconsin, where he also grew to adulthood. On February 17, 1951 he was united in marriage to Joan Rome in Lake Geneva. They lived at Lake Geneva and he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Trent Tube company in East Troy for 32 years. Following retirement in 1982 they moved near Yuba, rural Hillsboro, Wisconsin where they have made their home. Jim enjoyed the outdoors and was many times found hunting and fishing as well as working in the garden.

Jim was a very loving husband and wonderful father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Joan of Hillsboro, daughter, Sandra (Mike) Koerner and son, James L. (Carrie) Rush Jr., both of Delavan; six Grandchildren; nine Great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann (Arnie) Thomas of Waterford, WI; and a brother, LeVern (Marie) Rush of St. Stephen, NC.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, and two brothers, Lloyd and Clarence Rush.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Donald Ehler officiating. Burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery near LaFarge. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
