Evelyn Lucille Dahlberg, 94, Rush City, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at her home in Rush City.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 1, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rush City, with Reverend Laurie O'Shea officiating.

Arrangements were by Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City, Olson Chapel.

Evelyn was born May 15, 1920, and grew up in Rush City. She graduated from Rush City High School in 1938 and attended St. Cloud Teachers College. She married Lester Olson in 1941. He was killed in 1945 while serving in World War II.

Evelyn married Donald Dahlberg February 14, 1946, and they moved to St. Paul and later to a farm near Rush City. She returned to teaching full time in 1966 and taught until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Ladies Circle, VFW Woman’s Auxiliary, Friendly Neighborhood Club, and North Chisago Historical Society.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Hazel (Jacoway) Anderson; her husbands, Lester Olson and Donald Dahlberg; brothers, Delbert Anderson, Lyle Anderson; sister, Betty Turok; and her special friend, Chet Parrish.
