Katherine "Kathy" Ann Utley, 56, passed away peacefully while receiving care at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Kathy was born on October 2, 1958, in Lake Geneva, WI, to proud parents, Ron and Rita Utley.
During her school years at Goodrell and East High, Kathy made many lifelong friends. In addition, she was a member of the East High tennis team.While Kathy lived most of her life in Des Moines, she had recently moved to Indianola.
Over the years she had worked in a variety of office and daycare roles, but she will be remembered most for the loving caregiver support she provided when her ailing father needed her.
Kathy is survived by her step-mother, Margo; brother, Ron (Cindy); nieces, Heather, Jessica, Samantha, and Kristen; and nephews, Jonathan and Logan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Rita, and brother, Bob.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3300 Easton Blvd., Des Moines.
