Son of WILLIAM JENNINGS and RUTH (BOLT) JENNINGS.

STONE IS MISSING.

He married twice, first to SELENA "LINNIE" "LENA" FRANCES CASSELL/CASTLE in 1870 in FLOYD CO., VA.

Daughter of EDWARD R. CASTLE & MALINDA (MARTIN) of Montgomery County.

Together they had six children:
William Cook known as "Uncle Cook" to family,
Benjamin Green,
Edward Morris
Norman Clyde,
Oscar "Bud" #22785406
and Roscoe Brown Jennings

"Linnie" died Feb.9,1904.

In 1906 Lewis married OCIE LUCINDA (GRANTHAM) m. MOREFIELD. She was a widow of James Morefield and had one daughter Vivian. Together Lewis and Ocie had one daughter Gertrude.

LEWIS TAYLOR JENNINGS is buried in a very small family cemetery on Brown Rd. East of Draper,Pulaski Co.,VA. near the old family home on New River which is now restored and known as the "Homestead Inn" on Claytor Lake.

There is only one stone remaining in the cemetery and that's for "Linnie" his first wife buried along side him.

Their son Benjamin who died at a young age is also buried here. It is not known if there are others buried in this cemetery.

This area was part of a large piece of property owned by the Jennings family. The cemetery is now maintained by local family.
