PAUL A. CARUSONE, 89, of Pierce Avenue, a retired automobile salesman, died Thursday at Harborside Health Care, Pawtuxet Village.

He was the husband of the late Marian E. (Wade) Carusone. Born in Providence, a son of the late Guiseppe and Rosina (DelSesto) Carusone, he lived in Warwick for 60 years.

Mr. Carusone was employed at area car dealerships for 40 years before he retired in 1972. Early in his life, he was a self-employed commercial fisherman out of Plymouth, Mass.He was a communicant of St. William Church and a former communicant of Holy Ghost Church, Providence.

He leaves two daughters, Judith R. Carusone and Sally Ann Stevens, and a son, Paul J. Carsone, all of Warwick; a sister, Mary Minicucci of Canoga Park, Calif.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Nicholas Carusone.

The funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. William Church, Pettaconsett Avenue. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
