Lena 'Lee' Cocuzza Hillside crossing guard, 78 Lena "Lee" (nee DiGirolamo) Cocuzza, 78, of Hillside, N.J., passed away suddenly at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, N.J., on Dec. 8, 2014.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Growney Funeral Home (growneyfuneral.com), 1070 N. Broad St., Hillside, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Hillside, N.J. Interment is at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, N.J.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Lee lived in Hillside, N.J., for 50 years. She was a school crossing guard for the Township of Hillside for over 30 years.
Lee was the beloved wife of the late Joe Cocuzza; devoted mother of Cynthia and Frank Condito Sr., Joseph and Larissa Cocuzza, and Christy DeSantis and her fiance, Michael Marino; dear sister of Phyllis Ruisi and the late Fran, Lucy and Rose; loving grandmother of Frankie, Robert, Lia, Nico, Cynthia, Juliana, Gianna and Joseph Arthur, and great-grandmother of 11.
