Bryson City—Oct 21–Andrew Thomas Weeks, 87, died this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Dora Gossett of the Bryson Branch Community after a long illness.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Franklin Grove Baptist Church.The Rev. John Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in teh Watkins Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the services.Weeks had been a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church for 46 years terms. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Gossett are a son, Jasper Weeks of Pacolet Mills, SC, another daughter, Mrs. Grace Barnes of Hickory; 12 Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Claude and Herman Gossett, Horace Wiggins, Jack Amber, John Cole, and Alex Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Howard and Vernie Cole. Bill Moody Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.-
