Mrs. Weeks Dies at 82 in HickoryBryson City, Aug. 18— Mrs. Mary Eliza Weeks, 82, of Hickory RFD 4, formerly of Bryson City, died last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Grace Barnes, in Hickory.She was teh daughter of the late Bill and Nancy Jenkins Garrett of Bryson City.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Franklin Grove Church here. The Rev. John Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Watkins Cemetery.The body will lie in state at teh church from 2 until time for the services. Grandsons will be pallbearers: Charles, Clarence, Walter, and Delmas Ball and Claude and Herman Gossitt. Surviving are the husband, Andrew Thomas Weeks of Bryson City; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Gossitt of Bryson City and Mrs. Barnes; a son, J. B. Weeks of Pacolet Mills, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. S. J. Penland of Bryson City; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.Garrett Funeral Home of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.Asheville Citizen-Times, Asheville, NC; 19 AUG 1955, p. 32.___________
