Richard retired from the US Navy and Department of Defense. He enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, casinos, and Florida State football.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jean Lynard; along with two children; Rick and Ann Lynard of Cincinnati, Ohio and Denise and Kelly Anderson of Pensacola, Florida; 6 grandchildren, Damon and Heather Hodges, Morgan Anderson, Haley Anderson, Aidan Lynard, Evelyn Lynard, and Liam Lynard; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Memorial services for Richard (Dick) Lynard will be held at 1:15 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Barrancas National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at the household. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project.
