William Thombleson, 74, passed away at 8:30 a.m. at Washington Nursing Center on Nov. 26, 2014.

Born Feb. 19, 1940, he was the son of (James) Henry Thombleson and Hattie Blanche (Lee) Thombleson.

He was a graduate of Montgomery High School, and a millwright by occupation. He was a veteran of the National Guard and a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, VFW, and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Megan Cox (Roger) and Amanda Thombleson; one brother Robert Thombleson; and six grandchildren, David Thombleson, Joseph Hager, Miranda Fitzgerald, Paul Brumfield, Leanna Cox, and Livia Cox.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one child, Mary Margaret.

A memorial service will be held at the Gill Funeral Home on Saturday. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. A military service will begin at 2 p.m.
