Frank Zapalac was my kind and generous father-in-law. He lived with older siblings after the death of his mother in 1906 until moving to Galveston in 1915. He lived in Galveston County for the remainder of his life.

Frank was employed as a machinist for Galveston-Houston Breweries for 40 years, played and managed semi-pro baseball and was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church for almost 50 yers.

His survivors include his wife Meta and two sons, Frank, Jr. and Ray - daughters-in-law Ursula and Patti - grandchldren Laurel (husband Wade), Amy, Fred, David, Kristen and Kyle.
