Ruth A. Maurer, 93, formerly of Tremont, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
Born Jan. 18, 1908, in Wenona to Roy and Anna McDonough Mathis, she married Harold R. Maurer on March 29, 1930, in Pontiac. He died July 4, 1997.
Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, James (and Marge) of Chillicothe; two daughters, Shirley (and Harold) Pelham of Littleton, Colo., and Connie (and Dwight) Morgan of Morton; and one sister, Eleanor Deffenbaugh of Springfield.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
