Elmira: Age 92, born October 26, 1920, in Elmira, son of James and Nicolena (Yalenti) A'Brunzo, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, peacefully, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.

He is predeceased by his wife Genevieve, brothers, Philip (Herma), Louis (Betty), Anthony and brother-in-law John Palma.

John is survived by his brother Vincent (Sally), sister Rosemarie Palma, sister-in-law Connie A'Brunzo, daughter Linda (Gene), five grandchildren, niece Nancy Zito, very special friend Amalia Pellon, who truly was his guardian angel, and several other nieces and nephews.

John was a veteran of WWII serving with pride for both the U S Navy and the U S Marine Corps. He spent over 50 years as a salesperson in the Elmira area.

John was a member of the Elmira Lions Club for over 30 years, a lifetime member of the Elmira Elks Lodge #62 and the American Legion, Harry B. Bentley Post #443.

A private burial will be held. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for John on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Church.

John's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Bath VA for the wonderful care they gave him over the past few years.
