Donald J. Abels, 52, of Whitnauer Dr., Mansfield, died Wednesday afternoon in Mansfield General Hospital following a heart attack. He was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Enon Vallley, PA., and lived in the Mansfield area the past 12 years. He was an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance with 27 years in service. He was a member of the Church on Elm Street in Butler.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Johnson Abels; two sons; two daughters; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Papania of New Waterford.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Snyder Funeral Home.
