George Raymond Mapplebeck was born in Brooklyn, New York on 21 Dec 1916 His parents were the late Edward Lemont & Mary Josephine [Smith] Mapplebeck. George married Ida R. Ficklestine and she was born in Germany which is where he met her, they married in Brooklyn, NY on 26 Oct 1937. George was in the Army when they married. I believe he servied for twenty years. All three of their children were born in Germany, Linda M [Mapplebeck] Milam, Lemont Edward Mapplebeck and James Raymond Mapplebeck. George Raymond died on 22 Sept 1969 Laguna Beach, Orange Co., CA from Lung Cancer. He was preceded in death by one brother Leroy Bernard Mapplebeck on Sept 01, 1969 and one grandson Richard L Milam in 1965. He leaves his wife and three adult children and one sister Mary Frances [Mapplebeck] Oudeans of Brooklyn, New York and one grandson James Carlisle Milam.
George Raymond is buried in Good Sherpherd Catholic Cemetery, in CA.
Cause of death: Lung Cancer.
