Viola R. Stransky, age 83, formerly of Francis Creek, died Saturday evening, May 18, 1996, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 1996, at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 11 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Rev. Theodore Hendricks will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

The former Viola Dohnal was born March 28, 1913, in the town of Cooperstown, daughter of the late Emil and Priscilla Kwitek Dohnal. She graduated from Denmark High School and also graduated from Manitowoc County Normal. Viola taught at the Twin Rivers School in the town of Cooperstown prior to her marriage. On October 29, 1938, she married Emil Stransky at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Emil preceded her in death August 18, 1993. She is a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, and the church's Altar Society, Denmark Senior Citizens, CZBJ Lodge #20 of Melnik.

Survivor include one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Trudy Stransky, Francis Creek; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Raymond Carbon, Green Bay, Mary Lynn and Dick Ruehr, Manitowoc, Audrey and James Dempsky, Denmark; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Evelyn Dohnal, Harlingen, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Harold Phillippsen, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Dohnal. Family and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville, on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
